Vinišće Croatia Dalmatia VINIŠĆE, a village and small harbour 12 km southwest of Trogir; population 765. Chief occupations are farming, fishing and tourism. The coastal strip near the village provides opportunities for underwater fishing, and is distinguished by attractive inlets with sandy and pebble beaches (Vinisce, Voluja, Ricevo Velo, Stari Trogir, Sicenica). Vinisce lies on the branching road of the main road.This picturesque village represents an ideal sce-nery for a quiet and pleasant holiday. Vinišće is a small, peaceful, fishermen’s place in the middle of Dalmatian coast, situated in a deep bay, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, in the vicinity of the old town Trogir. Far away from the hectic, loud, common urban life, here you will hear only the silence of the nature, the sound of the sea, and your eyes will enjoy beautiful views. Perfect for a great summer vacation. Our house is situated on the left side of the bay, with a beautiful view over the sea and the Dalmatian islands. Around the house there are several nice terraces and the barbecue. Very pleasant setting for great Mediterranean meals. And you only have to climb down the stairs to get to the beach. You can also park your boat there. Vinišće is perfect for a day full of sea activities; swimming, diving,windsurfing, fishing... Close to Vinišće, there are many small bays and islands (Drvenik Veliki, Drvenik Mali, Šolta, Brač..) where you can go for interesting excursions.We also have a windsurfing board and a bicycle at your disposal. There are several food stores and nice restaurants in the centre of the village.And when you wish to see some beautiful cities, get some fun, or visit a museum or some other cultural event, Vinišće is a great starting point for short trips to many highlights of Dalmatia. To the south there is Trogir, small jewel of the Dalmatian coast, then Split, second largest city in Croatia with emperor Diocletian’s palace from Roman times, further on is nice city of Makarska. Close to Vinišće there are a few interesting small places, Marina, Rogoznica and Primošten. Along the coast to the north, there are two nice old cities, Šibenik and Zadar.You can also visit islands of Brač, Havar, Šolta, Vis. Great beauty of the Croatian nature you can see in the national parks: River Krka, Canyon of Paklenica, Kornati islands, or a little bit farther Plitvice lakes.
